Currently Claire is working on a few projects for The Hunter & Central Coast Regional Environmental Management Strategy (HCCREMS) which is a framework developed to guide and coordinate the efforts of their 14 member councils in addressing a range of environmental issues that are best managed within a strategic regional context. Claire is project managing a public sustainability education program, reviewing a power meter project and project managing a sustainability conference planned for 2012.

Working with Manumatix’s to promote their new Bamboo Facebook application to the nonprofit sector. Bamboo is a turn key, point driven loyalty app, built specifically for Facebook and Twitter, that offers virtually any company an entertaining, compelling and inexpensive way to reach new audiences by leveraging the friends of core fans.

Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA) and the TckTckTck.org campaign

As the Director of Digital Media at the GCCA, Claire managed all aspects of the digital media, which included its public campaign, TckTckTck and internal could based intranets and communication platforms. She was also responsible for managing projects like the Harmony Movie with Prince Charles and the Fate of the World Game by Red Redemption.

CO2 Neutral Conferencing

Claire was key in setting up the digital strategy for the CO2 Neutral Conferencing startup green business.  Managing their social media services, CO2 Neutral Conferencing provides carbon neutral video, web and audio conferencing services around the globe the first company in the world to offer these type of services. More recently project managing the development of their new web site to ensure they have a strong presence in this competitive market, rank appropriately in search engines and has a world class user friendly web site.

Conservation Volunteers Australia

Claire prepared the application for the Australian Greenhouse Office, Greenhouse Friendly program to provide native vegetation carbon offsets via a carbon pooling mechanism. The application process included site assessment, carbon modelling using the National Carbon Accounting Toolbox, preparation of risk management plan, plan of management and all associated documentation. This project has now progressed into actionforclimatechange.org.au project.

World Wide Fund for Nature International (WWFClimate Witness in Action Programme

Eco Change managed this WWF initiative that connects people around the world, to share stories through words, videos and photos, about how climate change is impacting their own lives. As part of the program, Eco Change coordinated  the Climate Witness Science Advisory Panel, which established if the impacts observed by Climate Witnesses are consistent with current scientific knowledge of human-induced climate change events in a particular region.

Department of Environment and Heritage, Australian Government

Claire was the Natural Resource Management (NRM) Biodiversity Facilitator for NSW, Australian Government a part of the Natural Heritage Trust program which is now replaced by the Caring for Country program. During this role Claire facilitated the development and subsequent contract for the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) Native Vegetation Pilot Project in NSW. She also helped with the development of a Market Based Instrument Pilot submitted by University of NSW (UNSW) Future of Threatened Ecosystems (FATE) program which was targeted towards biodiversity conservation at a landscape scale, in addition to many other pilot programs.

As the State Bushcare Coordinator, Claire managed all aspects of the work plan delivery for ten regional Bushcare Facilitators.  The Buschare team facilitated and disseminated information to improve linkages with Catchment Management Boards (CMB) and the NSW natural resource regional planning process.

Community Biodiversity Survey Manual

As both the editor and initiator of the Community Biodiversity Survey Manual, Claire sought to encourage exploration of biodiversity in local areas, by empowering the community with the practical guidance needed for custodianship of their environment. It was carried out in partnership with the National Parks Association of NSW (NPA) and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
